Monday, November 26, 8pm: Reading Series of New York Presents: A Collaborative Reading to Support LIT (Literacy for Incarcerated Teens)
Ten of NYC's leading reading series team up for an event benefiting LIT, a nonprofit which provides access to a library and library services to New York City's incarcerated teens. Featured authors include Tea Obreht (Inland, The Tiger's Wife), Bridgett Davis (The World According to Fannie Davis), and Leland Cheuk (No Good Very Bad Asian).
The series has been recommended and covered by numerous publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, the NY Daily News, BOMB, The Rumpus, the Paris Review, Tin House, Flavorpill, Electric Literature, and the Brooklyn Paper. New York Magazine named Franklin Park one of NYC's Absolute Best Reading Series, Time Out New York named FP one of NYC's Best Literary Series, and the Village Voice gave us a Best of NYC award for Best Reading Series.
